I’m quite drugged up, so … I feel a bit … lightheaded.
So I went in first for the operation, and I was in recovery from 1pm ‘til quite late actually – 5ish – waiting for my bed, and so, in a way it was good, because then I saw Johnny being trolleyed in – still out of it, completely. But then they were then doing some scans on his kidney to see how – if – it was working, and Mr Fernando, the surgeon, just came over and just said that that they’ve done the scan, and yeah, it’s all looking really, really good, and positive. So, that was a huge, huge, huge relief. Yeah it was great. And that his body had already started creating quite a lot of urine. They didn't know if it was from his old kidneys, but it looked positive that the new kidney was creating it as well straight away, and it hadn’t gone dormant and it was active – actively working. Which was fantastic news. That was quite good. It’s quite nice being in recovery actually, because then no-one’s really fussing over you. Like, your family-wise . No-one there. My boyfriend’s been really good.
